The Boys and Girls Clubs of Oxnard and Port Hueneme operate an after-school program at Laguna Vista Elementary School for grades 1st-5th.  There are currently 60 students enrolled in the program.

Power Hour:  Making Minutes Count
A comprehensive homework help and tutoring program, POWER HOUR is designed to raise the academic proficiency of Club members.  Power Hour  provides  members with the support,  resources  and guidance  necessary to complete  their  homework and start  the school day with a sense  of confidence  and ability.  

Youth for Unity
This program educates students about the importance of tolerance and diversity.  The program is designed to educate members ages 6 to 12.This program will help members appreciate and understand our society's diversity, recognize unfairness and take personal leadership in confronting bias.



It is a connection program that enhances self-esteem in an edutainment program for kids. The program targets 4th and 5th graders and provides 28 chapters with over 80 lessons and activities. The Manadoob are an odd  bunch  of magical, misfit animals  who will help kids  discover  that belief  in themselves is the most  important  gift they can ever  receive.  They can face their fears and worries; be strong and successful; and achieve what they want in their life.
